A Newport late summer celebration at its finest
When you know, you know!
I met Lili and Jon at the annual Newport Bridal Show at Rosecliff and their personalities and their vibe were just amazing and I knew we would be a great fit! That was February. Fast forward to March - engagement session time. With little adjustment and close monitoring of the weather we picked a Sunday afternoon before sunset and went out to have some fun and get comfortable in front of the camera.
We started at Bowen's Wharf in midst of town, roamed around talking about their lives, how they met what they love but also worries about their wedding day and potential situations that could get tricky because no wedding day is perfect and things happen. Ledge Road was next and then ending at Hazard Beach Club, where Lily's family has been a member for decades. Talk about a gorgeous day, this sunset was out of this world.
The temperature was mild - for March! - and the colors were just out of this world.
If you scroll down the blog you can find their blog post.
I have never met a couple that is so grounded and level headed while planning a huge event 6 months out. Everything just seemed to fall into place when it needed to and left us all with a stunning sunny day in early September, the perfect temperature and nothing but laughs and good times.
If there was one thing that could have been better... a little less wind would have been nice.. but hey.. it is Rhode Island and there is wind. Some days more than others and when you get married with an ocean view.. wind is calculated.
Enjoy being part of their day. I hope you love the photos and feel inspired for your big day by the water.
