When I first met Brenna & John at the Newport Wedding Show, I knew right away—we were a match. These two don’t just smile, they radiate joy. I’ve honestly never met a couple that laughs this much together. Total couple goals.

Their engagement shoot was like hanging with old friends. That’s when I found out they’re moving to Italy right after the wedding (yes, I absolutely asked if I could come too).

They’ve already done the whole long-distance thing—the time zones, the FaceTime dates, the travel logistics—and somehow still managed to plan the dream wedding with total chill and tons of laughs.

The Wedding Day Breakdown

We kicked things off with getting ready photos at their place and Hotel Viking in Newport. Then it was off to the iconic St. Mary’s Church—yep, the one where JFK and Jackie got married. Historic and heart-melting.

Then came the real showstopper: Aldrich Mansion. That place? Total fairytale vibes. From the grand staircase to the dreamy gardens, every corner was a chance to create pure magic. And Brenna & John made it so easy—with every glance, smile, and happy tear, their love practically lit up the camera.

Why I’m Still Obsessed:

Aldrich Mansion is a dream backdrop for any creative photographer, and Brenna & John brought the kind of energy that makes this job incredible. Their connection? 100% real. Their joy? Totally contagious.

We made sure to hit all the places that meant the most to them—like the Boathouse by the water, which had such a peaceful, romantic energy. Then we discovered the other building on the property, and wow… it gave off total Outlander-meets-rustic-Scotland vibes. Think massive old trees, stone walls, and that moody countryside feel. It felt like straight out of a movie scene and made for some seriously dreamy shots.
