Debbie thought she was getting a 70th birthday weekend… little did she know, she was getting memories her family will cherish forever.
Her crew rolled in from New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, turning the celebration into a full-blown family reunion. The weekend was planned just for her—but the biggest surprise was still under wraps.
Katie found me on the Vanderbilt Auberge Preferred Vendor list and reached out with the sweetest idea ever: a generational family photo shoot to surprise her mother-in-law. The kind of session that becomes more than photos… it becomes a family heirloom.
With four children and at least eight grandchildren, Debbie’s family tree is beautifully full—and the surprise didn’t stop there! Close family friends (maybe a niece or cousin!) even popped in to join the fun.

We kicked things off with the kids, who came READY. Poses? Nailed it. Hugs? So many. Giggles? Endless. They lit up the whole shoot and had the adults laughing along the entire time. Honestly, is there a better vibe than family + champagne + happy chaos during the holidays? We think not.
