From finding the right photographer to choosing the perfect spot, booking a place to stay, and creating a seamless plan that raises zero suspicion… it’s a lot! And when you’ve never even been to Newport, Rhode Island, pulling off the perfect proposal can feel impossible.
That’s where I come in—I love helping bring these moments to life.
When Steve reached out to plan his big surprise for Esme, he was juggling all the usual challenges. But he had a clear vision of how he wanted the moment to unfold, which helped everything fall into place beautifully.
They chose the Newport Harbor Island Resort, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more romantic. A lighthouse overlooking the water, the Newport Pell Bridge glowing in the background—it’s a dream setting for a coastal proposal.
Despite the chilly weather, these two were completely wrapped up in the emotion of the moment. We explored a few different spots around the resort, and then—after a little burst of inspiration—I sprinted to the dock to capture a silhouette shot of them with the lighthouse and bridge at sunset. And yes… it worked perfectly. Sometimes the universe nudges you, and you just have to go for it.
